Wow. Weird design. One might compare these “sails” to swatting a fly with a sledgehammer. Did you see the below-decks support structure? Looked like a missile silo. Can you say “heavy”? It looked like it was taking up cargo room too. I’d say use some guy wiires and masts - maybe a few sails - ya iknow… 
At 4:35 in this video, the guy says the reason the Magnus cylinders didn’t work out so great is they “created a lot of problems because of the spinning motion/”
