This is thread is a mess.^^ But that happens in natural conversation. Topics change. I generally encourage split-offs.
Leave the name as is so that it is recognized!
If you want to comment something that’s nothing to do with the original post anymore, just open a new thread referencing the conversation, for example like this:

In a perfect world, yes, the first billion in AWES R&D could have been far better spent in comparative research and testing, and the naïve investors would have been far better protected. A better way of sharing the billion would have been to distribute a million each to a thousand university teams to self-organize global research.

Instead, we make do by gleaning clues from media to reason from heuristically, in a sort of “virtual fly-off” of all the AWES architectures in play.
