However, from a large-scale manufacturing standpoint, the cost-of-production and finish issues, raw material consistency issues, as well as possible moisture retention leading to imbalance, lean toward composites, since you can make a smooth mold and hire less-skilled fabricators, or use injection molding or otherwise automate the process.
