A Wind Energy R&D Bill including AWE was first introduced in the US Congress in June, and has passed out of committee with a majority of Yes votes. The same Bill, more or less, has now been introduced in the US Senate, with bipartisan support. A possible speed-bump could be a Veto by Trump, an avowed wind-power opponent, but also very fickle. Whatever the short-term outcome, long-term massive US AWE R&D investment is expected, along with massive Chinese, Russian, EU programs.
