Airborne wind energy for Mars habitats

I will be presenting AWE for Mars habitats as part of the Moonshot & Off-Earth Environments Symposium at TU Delft today. The symposium is from 14:00 until 18:30 CET, and my session is scheduled to run from 16:30 until 17:30 CET.

The presentation will summarize our research which was published in four peer-reviewed papers/chapters:

I’ve got an old video somewhere of me doing a practical kite power experiment on mars
It wasn’t all that powerful if I’m remembering right
left when I got dust in my tea

My presentation slides are now available in open access from Airborne wind energy for Martian habitats

You could even use the kite to glide to land, they start producing electricity right after !
