John, I think wind generators work by using wind power in a more or less continuous way, not by lifting sand. Perhaps power-take-off (PTO) could be achieved by putting generators in the two ends, using pulling of the arch going up and down alternately, in a sort of yo-yo mode. Now several means to face wind changes has been discussed.
