This opportunity allows us to benefit from Germany’s feed-in tariffs and accelerate the adoption of airborne wind energy (AWE) into the country’s renewable mix. The DEM-AWE project identified a potential of 12–108 GW through a GIS study ( LinkedIn ), with nearly 90% of this capacity in areas unsuitable for wind turbines but perfect for kites.
