Since I see this is getting some views, a caveat:

Important info:
On February 18th, at a press conference, Zhong Nanshan said that according to empirical information, the lung performance of patients with COVID19 is not the same with that of SARS patients. It is not severe fibrosis. There are still some alveoli present and severe inflammation and presence of mucus.
Basically, the trouble airway is caused by the presence of mucus and inflamed airway, thereby restricting the available airflow. The extreme presence of mucus is caused by a lack of functioning serous glands, which is supposed to produce a fluid that dilutes the mucous. When the mucous solidifies in the trachea, the patient is in critical condition.
Conclusion:
Basically, the experts agree that if the patient cannot breathe normally due to excess mucous present, then simply using ventilation machines/oxygen machines are ineffective or counterproductive, as the force can push the mucus deeper and wider, thereby increasing hypoxia.
I’d also try to find YouTube videos on the proper treatment of patients with pneumonia or ARDS , symptoms of COVID-19. And medical guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19.
