Clever idea using a drone to launch the kite. I wonder if the drone is used to land the kite as well. It’s a pity that this method may not be suitable for a single skin lifter kite without some means of keeping the kite spread out.
A single skin lifter kite can be lifted and recovered by drone (I reckon)
Here’s my test of how the launch works
just pull the lifter out of a sock
Alternately just find a way to attach to the nose of the lifter (some hook, grabber, velcro…attacher)
The as long as you are lifting the kite by the nose upwind of its tether and bridles, it won’t inflate. It will stay limp until you fly it to a position downwind of the anchor and tether.
