There were 8 of these streamers, with only a few meters distance, and also sometimes in two layers height.

Perhaps this could relaunch R&D about crosswind stacked kites. That reminds me an old rendering:

Using rigid wings and electric control simplifies some things and makes other things difficult.

Electric control would be suitable if (rigid or even soft) wings can do without it most of the time.
