OK inspired by a fluid pump we’re all very familiar with but
I bet you didn’t know it was a torsional wringing pump
Your good ol ticker (the heart) is busy 24/7 squeezing and repleneshing a bag of juice
But it does it with a twisting wringing motion.
The fact that the torsion stores a bit of energy rotary kites again. (well what doesn’t TBH?)
A differentiator between Tiira vs Pyramid and Daisy is likely to be how smooth the output is.
A single kite rotary system (As Makani was) will cut a non circular loop path.
With Pyramid and Daisy there is a line or ring strut between linking successive kites around the orbit; The line (Line because in operation it’s tensile) helps blades in a slower phase of the loop to maintain speed.
There might well be a benefit (~Dynamic soaring) to speed changes which might be seen from a looping single kite
