I liked this table a lot. [image] Also the SSSL 3m2 that I have been flying is not on the list (not a good kite for KAP), but it flies at >67 degrees and pulls ~5-7 kg in 5 m/s wind. That would be 11-15 lbs in beufort 3 I guess. Flying so high puts it in a separate league for soft kites, and it is cheap and packs very small

Can you share your experience with your lifters?

Just an update. IMHO high flying kites are generally more useful than downwind kites. So I am interested in L/D and such. I measured this the other day. [image] I added a hollow tail to calm down left-right motion. 67 degrees should mean a L/D ratio of 2.4. I believe this is quite good for a Pilot type kite, in particular one that flies in very little wind and pulls like nothing else. High wind needs to be solved for this kite though

The strong pull of the SSSL 3 m² ("~5-7 kg in 5 m/s wind ") in spite of the high elevation angle (67 degrees) is surprising.
