Executive Summary

Rotary Airborne Wind System (RAWS) is a startup company that has developed a unique and innovative wind energy technology. Our system uses rotors attached to high-altitude balloons to capture wind energy and convert it into electricity.

The RAWS system has several advantages over traditional wind turbines. It is able to capture higher altitude winds, which are stronger and more consistent than ground-level winds. It is also more cost-effective to install and maintain, and has a smaller footprint on the landscape.

Our goal is to secure funding to develop and commercialize the RAWS technology. We plan to initially target the residential and small commercial market, with the goal of eventually expanding into larger commercial and industrial markets.

Market Analysis

The global wind energy market is growing rapidly, with an estimated annual growth rate of 10.3% from 2020 to 2025. This growth is driven by a combination of government incentives and increased consumer demand for clean and renewable energy sources.

The residential and small commercial market for wind energy is particularly promising, as homeowners and small businesses are increasingly looking for ways to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint. RAWS technology is well-suited to this market, as it can be easily installed on rooftops or other small spaces and has low maintenance costs.

Competitive Analysis

The main competitors in the wind energy market are traditional wind turbine manufacturers. These companies have well-established market positions and a large installed base of wind turbines.

However, RAWS technology has several advantages over traditional wind turbines. It is able to capture higher altitude winds, which are stronger and more consistent than ground-level winds. It is also more cost-effective to install and maintain, and has a smaller footprint on the landscape.

These advantages give RAWS a unique position in the market, and we believe that we can compete effectively against traditional wind turbine manufacturers.

Marketing and Sales Strategy

Our marketing and sales strategy will focus on raising awareness of the RAWS technology and its benefits. We will target residential and small commercial customers through a combination of online and offline marketing, including social media advertising, direct mail, and trade show exhibits.

To support our sales efforts, we will establish partnerships with local installers and contractors who can help customers with the installation and maintenance of the RAWS system. We will also offer financing options to help customers afford the initial cost of the system.

Financial Plan

The initial funding we seek will be used to complete the development of the RAWS technology and begin commercial production. This will include investments in manufacturing equipment, research and development, and marketing and sales efforts.

We anticipate that our first year of operations will be focused on ramping up production and building a customer base. We expect to generate modest revenues in the first year, with profits increasing as we scale up production and expand into new markets.

Over the next five years, we expect to grow our customer base and increase our revenues through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. We anticipate achieving profitability within three years, with substantial growth in the following years.

Conclusion

RAWS is a unique and innovative wind energy technology that has the potential to disrupt the traditional wind turbine market. With strong growth prospects in the residential and small commercial market, we are confident that our technology will be successful and generate significant value for our investors. We are seeking funding to complete the development of the RAWS technology and begin commercial production.

Congratulations for the new company thus created @tallakt.

Below there is a link of the patent by its title. There are elements that concretize some of the ideas of the Pyramid (the description is in the title itself), then extending to the use of positive or negative thrust of the respective RATs of the aircrafts, as means among others, if I understand correctly. However the Fig.1 describes a winch (1) in the context of pumping (reel-out/in yo-yo) mode (?).

A METHOD AND APPARATUS TO COUNTERACTS SLOWDOWN IN AIRBORNE WIND ENERGY

Is it an embodiment of the same system, or another AWES? I don’t see “balloons” in the initial description of the Pyramid, nor in the patent above.

Started out more convincing than me :grinning:
I think we should ask it to present the pyramid at next AWEC.
I’d love to see the proof of concept mode it made :joy:

I was thinking along the lines: «Write some code to control a tethered kite to land in an emergency» etc

You likely refer to my post The Pyramid Business Plan Comes to Life - #4 by PierreB which was not a joke, but perhaps a confusion on my part as to which elements of “The Pyramid” the business plan falls under. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

The topic is a joke. The business plan was written by an AI chatbot, ChatGPT. The prompt for the chatbot was:

My confusion was higher than I thought…

My confusion is total…
I’m going to just trust and follow the robot… Here’s further advice on how we can run this business online as a DAO

How would you design a sweat equity based DAO for developing a hardware solution?

A sweat equity based DAO, or decentralized autonomous organization, is a type of organization that is run using blockchain technology and smart contracts. In a sweat equity based DAO, members contribute their labor or expertise to the organization, and are then awarded a stake in the organization based on the value of their contribution. This stake gives them a say in how the organization is run and how its profits are distributed.

To design a sweat equity based DAO for developing a hardware solution, you would first need to determine the specific goals and objectives of the organization, as well as the roles and responsibilities of its members. This would involve identifying the key challenges and opportunities facing the hardware development industry, and developing a plan to address them through the DAO’s activities.

Once the goals and objectives of the DAO have been established, you would need to create a set of rules and policies that govern how the DAO operates. This would include defining the mechanisms by which members can contribute their labor or expertise, and how their contributions are valued and rewarded. You would also need to establish a system for decision-making and governance, including the roles and responsibilities of different members and the processes for voting on key decisions.

Finally, you would need to develop the technical infrastructure for the DAO, including a blockchain platform and smart contracts that enable the DAO to operate autonomously and transparently. This would involve working with experienced blockchain developers to design and implement the necessary technology, and testing and refining the system to ensure it functions as intended.

Overall, designing a sweat equity based DAO for developing a hardware solution is a complex process that involves careful planning and technical expertise. By defining clear goals and objectives, establishing effective rules and policies, and developing a robust technical infrastructure, a DAO can be an effective way to coordinate the efforts of a distributed group of individuals and organizations to achieve a common goal.

What about the sweat equity for design and realisation of the parts what kind of contracts terms and clauses would that need? e.g. things like KPI’s, MOU’s, share types…

In a sweat equity based DAO for developing a hardware solution, the terms and clauses for sweat equity contributions would need to be carefully defined in order to ensure that all members are treated fairly and that the organization’s goals and objectives are achieved.

One approach to defining these terms and clauses would be to use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the value of each member’s contribution. For example, a member who designs and manufactures a critical component for the hardware solution might be awarded a certain number of shares in the DAO based on the quality and performance of their component.

In addition to KPIs, the terms and clauses for sweat equity contributions could also include other mechanisms for valuing and rewarding members’ contributions, such as milestone-based payments or revenue sharing arrangements. It could also include provisions for terminating a member’s participation in the DAO if their contributions are not meeting the organization’s standards or if they fail to fulfill their obligations.

In order to ensure that all members are clear on the terms and conditions of their participation in the DAO, it would be important to document these terms and clauses in a formal agreement, such as a memorandum of understanding (MOU) or a shareholders’ agreement. This agreement would serve as a binding contract between the members of the DAO and would help to ensure that all members are treated fairly and that the organization operates according to its stated goals and objectives.
