While it seems difficult to find inflatable blades, especially for wind turbines, inflatable sails are beginning to emerge.
The project mentioned just below seems interesting for several reasons, notably the apparent possibility of achieving faithful blade profiles with inflatable structures. Other projects or achievements have been discussed.
This could be a possibility for bladed AWES that would be lighter while maintaining good efficiency.
In this field, everything remains to be proven.
